What version of ghostscript is this ?
1) > 5.50 - this version of gs is buggy
2) 5.50 or less - xforms is buggy, avoid using the menus when the figures are
still rendering (i.e. leave lyx alone) and you should have no problem
Either way, both of these are non-lyx bugs hence we can't fix them :/

I think this is a known bug ... and no-one has a solution ...
