    You probably should enable the Debian unstable repo then, and
    install it from Synaptic / aptitude / apt-get. Else you risk
    getting dependency problems as you've already noticed.

    apt-get.

Yes, this is why you would need to enable Unstable (or sid) in the repos. Debian must have extensive documentation on how to do this.

would lyx2.2.2 (instead of lyx2.2.2.1) still need Unstable (or sid) in the repos? And does this lyx2.2.2 version contain already the bibtex related error reporting? These are the reason I would like to change my version.
