LyX works fine, although I have to say
that I did not use LyX very often yet on that machine (GNOME here, but
this should not matter, and LyX compiled against Qt5). I have in my
local profile
export QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=true
This is in your .bash_profile or .profile?
