Riki, Good to know. When I see a process consuming all CPU cycles and lyx is not open I'll know the reason.
Note that this is previewing some LaTeX snippet (e.g., math), not a whole document.
I didn't know one could preview a snippet when using C-x C-p to open the dvips preview window. Thanks, Rich
