Hi
A trick that may provide a satisfying solution is to use the floatflt package
and follow the procedure as described in the extended manual (section 5.3) for
wrapping text around figures.
(Put \usepackage{floatflt} in the LaTeX Preamble if there are no other floats
in the document)
Instead of including an eps figure, you can put a one-cell table or even an
equation in display-mode. I just tried it and it works, even when including a
label (numbered equation). I am using teTeX 1.07, LyX 1.1.6fix1.
