I do not normally use tabs, but sometimes I get them accidentally, and have
seen this behavior.
I am using LyX 2.3.6 on MacOS 11.1. I just reset my preferences to tabs and
made two very small files Test1 and Test 2. When I open one everything is fine.
When I open the other I see a white blank where its name should be, but the
other file still still has its name displayed properly. When I toggle the open
file this switches.
