Word processor seems to be a very broad category if Wikipedia is to be
trusted on this point (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_processor,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_word_processors), but no, I don't
think the point I made hinges on whether LyX is a word processor or not.
LyX is in many (but surely not all) aspects close enough to standard
examples such as Google Docs, Pages, Word, and Writer, so that many
features these applications have are also similarly implemented in LyX
or may be worth implementing.
