If I choose the index processor "Makeindex" explicitly, I don't get a subject index.

If I choose "Standard" as the index processor instead (but also uses Makeindex according to the LYX user manual), I get a subject index. However, this is sorted in English.

See attached examples.

To force a German sorting, I would have to specify the -g option.

But where can I do that?

If I enter it as RET code in the text, I get the request that the instruction should be made in the preamble.

If I write in the preamble

\makeindex[-g]

I get the error message:

\makeindex[

-g]

You're in trouble here. Try typing <return> to proceed.

If that doesn't work, type X <return> to quit.

Can you please help me with this?

Andreas
