Hi,
Is there any way to make Lyx treat single quotes
like it does double quotes? That is, make it have an open single quote and
then a close single quote? I'm interested in the possibility of typing
dialogue such as
Tom Blinked and said,
"Then he said, 'so she said, "Go to Hell, Microsoft Word!"'"
That is, the single quotes being typeset to
open and close like the double quotes.
The users guide mentions a quotes popup from the
layout menu, but I don't have that. I though I got the most recent version
of LyX (1.1.6fix1 of Wed, Jan 31, 2001). Is there another way to adjust
the behavior of quotes besides the popup? If not, how do I get the
popup? I installed from an .rpm. Maybe I should compile from the
source?
Thanks for any help.

P.S., is there any way to control what shows up on
screen for the open and close quote characters? They look funky if you use
a true type font for your on screen font.
