Yes, there is a delay with the messages being archived. In LyX, go to Tools > Reconfigure. Then wait (might take a few minutes). After that's done. Restart LyX and see if it finds knitr. As far as other users, I use knitr + LyX often and it works great for me. I'm on Linux, but it should work on all platforms. Best, Scott
