Would it be correct to assume that they are/will be more stable? As Juergen pointed in another message, the bug here is in gcc and not in LyX. We do test our stable releases, but still, if you want stability then it is probably better to use 1.1.5fix2 (1.1.6fix2 still have some problems with tables).
