Thanks!  That works in 2.3.6 too.

But that's a lot of work for something I do frequently.  Is there a way to make it more like Noun, which is what I've been using as a substitute?  Noun can be invoked with [Alt-C C] or the button on the toolbar.

You could probably write a module, similar to the ones in logicalmkup.module, that would wrap the text in whatever LaTeX you wanted.
