I' not sure if it is still interesting.
I tried executing "command-sequence buffer-close-all; lyx-quit" from the 
Mini-buffer on my Macbook M2 Tahoe 26.3.1 via Control-x. Result with LyX2.5.0: 
Command disabled, no other reaction.
The same command with LyX2.4.4 works fine.Bini
