When I enter into an equation editing box, and go out momentarily, the
instant preview works on that specific equation. When I exit LyX and
reopen, the same cycle repeats.

Windows 11, updated TexLive, some issues with the LyX cache or smtg
similar.
I will see if I can fix it by myself, but I want to know if anybody
else experience a similar issue, and what would be suggested checklist
of actions on this?

Hi Baris,
This is a belated reply but may still be useful. I've recently
encountered this problem. I had encountered it in the past but had
forgotten the work-around that I used at that time. It has now come back
to me. For my document, previews stall when
1. The hyperlink checkbox is set, and
2. Some previews are formed by the legacy route. (Have a look in the
temporary directory to see if this is the case. For my document I see
preview files like lyxpreviewjiQOvO_legacy.001.pdf, up to 010.pdf, and
then a bigger file that cumulates all these smaller pdfs,
lyxpreviewjiQOvO_legacy_pdflatex.pdf.)
If I clear the hyperlink checkbox before saving and closing the
document, then the next time I open it, the previews will form and new
equations generate new previews, as you would hope. If I want to compile
to pdf and have hyperlinks and bookmarks, then I go into Document >
Settings and set the hyperlink checkbox. And the cycle repeats: remember
to clear the hyperlink checkbox before saving and closing; remember to
set the hyperlink checkbox before compiling to pdf.
