Lyx 1.1.6fix2 does not I have no problems with indices with lyx 1.1.6fix2. How did you install lyx ? (did you compile yourself, or did you use RPM) The g++ compiler in Redhat 7.0 is buggy, and it is the cause for many problems that are experienced in LyX. > provide error messages.
