I am having almost exactly the same problem running Lyx 1.1.6fix2 on
LinuxPPC, but not quite to the same extent. Running with "-dbg any"
yields the same hang at "Update dep:".
Interestingly, it seems to hang especially hard when using the "APA
style" document class.
Again, this problem did not appear running 1.1.6fix1. But, the tables do
seem to function much better on fix2.
