that's right, but i wonder wha the layout file is in the menu,
when the class is not there??
go into ~/.lyx/ and run configure by hand and look for
a line like this
+checking for document class cv [cv]... yes
+checking for document class dinbrief [dinbrief]... yes
did ieee appears?
