I think, it should be enough to switch to english keyboard in KDE
and than switch on Polish keyboard in LyX. However, better
solution is to switch off all KDE support for international
keyboards (they are broken, IMHO) and use plain X support.
However, I have not at hands the particular files to be changed
(somewhere in /usr/config, I suppose).

At least both worked for me with my Czech keyboard.
