Hi
I have just upgraded to RedHat 7.1 with lyx 1.1.6 fix 2. I am experiencing
oddities with the number keys, in particular when entering numbers in a
table. With num lock on, if I try to enter numbers using the number pad, the
numbers are all typed outside and just before the table. I have tried this on
two "out the box RH7.1" installations with the same result. The "ordinary"
numbers work.
I also upgraded our secretary machine to lyx 1.16 fix 2 but did not upgrade
the RedHat, it is still on RH6.2, because of hardware limitiations. She has
the same symptom with the tables and an additional problem with the popup
boxes (the little grey ones with the blue cursor (such as trying to enter a
vertical space of a specific length in the paragraph layout)) They will not
acknowledge any numbers,from the number pad or otherwise, regardless of
whether num lock is on or off.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems? (I did have a look at the FAQ
and do read this list and haven seen anything there, but could have missed
it) Any suggestions on how to work around the problem would be greatly
appreciated.
