I might add that running "configure" does not show any complains.
Hmm.. Just did a few more tests. Now if I open LyX again (no splash this
time) and redo File -> New there is no alert message. But if I open LyX
and select Help -> anything, and now select File -> New then the Alert
box reaperes.
This may bee a generic bug and not related to my install. Maybee some
file path is not setup correctly after displaying any help file (or the
splash file)
