Of course :) Use Edit/Preferences/Look&Feel/Screen Fonts.
You can see what fonts are available by running "xfontsel" program.
When you have found a good font, press the "select" button in xfontsel
and the middle button to paste the selected font to the LyX dialog line.
You may need to edit slightly the pasted line.
Try also different Zoom% settings and other setting in the dialog.
