Faxing from Lyx

I have included the line
\fax_command "fax send $$Phone $$FName"
in .lyx/lyxrc but nothing seems to happen. I cannot find a menu item to
fax files.

Using Lyx 1.1.6fix1 - have not been able to upgrade to fix 3.
