Problems getting going

hey

I am using the standard debian packages for lyx. I think all my questions
could be answered if the examples and templates worked.

Trying to view dvi of any of the examples always results in lots of errors
like:

"Undefined control sequence.
\keywords
{giant planet formation - \( \kappa \)-me ....

and so on. Any help much appreciated. I'm guessing I have some kind of
broken tetex installation?
