Note : you must be talking about LyX 1.1.6 (if you already have a 1.1.16 the
LyX developpers must have speed up ;) ).
Already had this problem after upgrading to 1.1.5, I suppose this is due to
the change in the LyX file format.
I fixed it by creating a new empty document, setting the document properties
like the old one and then copy the whole content of the old doc to the new
one, then it should work ok.
