Actually, I have book-class. I had tried that command you mentionned but
LyX returned:
"
LaTeX Error: \refname undefined.
\begin {document}

Try typing <return> to proceed.
If that doesn't work, type X <return> to quit.
"

which seems to confirm that I'm not using the article-class.
