Hi Herbert,

I placed:

\usepackage{ulem}
\let\underbar\uline
\let\underline\uline

between Preamble and EndPreamble in my layout file -- no change.

I then placed the same in Layout->Preamble, and once again no change.

I do have file /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/misc/ulem.sty
