I don't know how to reduce the size of the table with lyx command. I have
got from Herbert's homepage how to resize the font of the table with LaTeX
command like:

type the following command between table caption and table in the table
float. Don't forget to change into latex style (C-l) with red appearance

\small                %--> for small size of font
\footnotesize
\scriptsize

etc whatever you want...
