Steve Litt writes: The registered trademark symbol is an upper case R inside a circle. It resembles a copyright symbol with an R instead of a C. You can make a copyright symbol by doing \copyright in ERT, but I haven't found an equivalent registered trademark symbol.
You don't mention your operating system, but on Solaris you can type `<compose> r o' to get the registered trademark symbol, just as `<compose> c o' yields the copyright symbol. I assume that any X-server can be configured to do the same. This works on both the LyX display and in the Postscript output. -- Ronald Florence http://www.18james.com
