I have installed ispell-3.2.06 from tarball (aspell is not usefull to
me, as the Czech dictionary has incredible 61M!) and it seems to work
well in command line and together with mutt. However, LyX doesn't seem
to like change from aspell to ispell (although I did both
/usr/share/lyx/configure and Edit/Reconfigure). I have use input
encoding on (because I sometime write in Czech which uses Latin2).
However, I always get an error box with this text:

The ispell-process has died for some reason. *One* possible
reason could be that you do not have a dictionary file for the
language of this document installed. Check /usr/lib/ispell or
set another dictionary in Spellchecker Options menu.

However, as I said 'ispell -d american' works well in gnome-terminal.
What should I do?

        Thanks

                Matej

Don't ever think you know what's right for the other person.
He might start thinking he knows what's right for you.
