If the answer to my question is in one of the manuals, I missed it and
would appreciate a pointer. If it's not in the manuals, then I'd greatly
appreciate an answer.

On a paper that I converted from WordPerfect to LyX, I inserted four
figures as floats. In the dialog box I specified the width of the image to
be 50% of the page (which is single column, article) and the height to be 3
inches. That's what the image occupies. However, the caption is spread
across the page from margin to margin and text jumps from above the inserted
figure to below it.

What I'd like to be able to do is specify the position on the page (e.g.,
against the left margin or the right margin) and have text flow around the
other side of the figure and caption. I'm confident that this can be done
but I didn't read how.

TIA,

Rich
