My priorities are basically straight -- attention primarily on writing. The thing is, that documents I import -- even one html doc saved by netscape to plain text as well as other lyx docs I open -- contain these copyright and trademark symbols which _do_ show in the LyX screen. So I want to be able to enter them since it seems that I should be able to (and the "other guys" can ;-), and its inherent to LyX to benefit from latex and tex without having to know how to code it. And it seems to be a hole in the documentation I have for 1.1.6fix3.
