No the code is completly different. If it was as simple as that I would have done it in 1999. As I understand from reading the linuxdoc dtd, the table model looks like the latex one. The question is that I didn't ever saw an example of it. The same applies for figures in linuxdoc. That part of the dtd is somewhat convuluted.
