I am experimenting with using different .bst styles, and I would
like to know what I have to do to use these styles.

For example, if I want to use the chicago.bst syle, what lines
should I include in my original document to use it?

If I were to modify a .bst style, what lines would I need in my
document then? Is a .bst style part of a package, or can it be
used independently?

I have been searching for about 3 hours for info on .bst sty, and
haven't found anything. I understand there are some good style
files out there, but the ones I have come across (mla, chicago)
come with no documentation.

Kopka and Daly's book on LaTeX is also inadequate in explaining
what you need to do for new .bst styles.

Thanks

Paul
