No menus in Lyx 1.1.6fix4

I just installed Lyx 1.1.6fix4 in Windows Me, using X-win32 5.2.  Everything works well except for the lyx menus.  The main window shows up the names of each menu but when you open any, you get a blank box.    I tried everything within lyxrc but I can't get those menus back.   Someone knows how to solve this?   Eugenio Guevara
