AFAIK, there is only ERT - the power of pure latex -. 

E.g. in many of my documents I have as first lines the "header" 

G�nter Milde                                                 \today
Institut f�r Festk�rperelektronik 
TU-Dresden                                          Datei: \jobname

with \today and \jobname in ERT, put to the right with a \hspace.

I suppose, there is also a command for the full path (just don't remember the name
right now.)
