Hi Pascal,

you need to download some files on the CTAN to install the euro fonts in Latex
Then use reconfigure in LyX and type \euro in ERT to see the symbol

Alternatively you can go there

http://www.alphacent.com/opensource

click on the English flag if you don't speak French and get the euro-sign
package...

it is just the files you need + a little script to take care of the
installation... it works on Slackware and Suse ... it should work on all
distributions but please make sure the paths are good before running it.

One more thing: you mailed with a charset ISO-8859-15 this charset is not
supported by Outlook (at least last time I tried) so there may be some people
out there not able to read your mails... to be able to reach as many people
as possible I would suggest you use ISO-8859-1 instead as your default
charset (even if it does not support the euro symbol :))

Hope it helps,

Aide Florent
