Thanks, I suspected that might be the case.

No ... they were only tried in desperation, after the lyx defaults failed to
deliver - they made no perceptible difference.

I gave it a brief trial - it did not seem to be suitable for me - I have a
lot of longish docs with figures and maths, and of course TOCs.

The work around I posited on the last post did not work either - I'm still
trying to sort out whats really happening.

This has been a largely wasted day - but the tools almost work, and would be
very useful if they did, so I'll keep trying.

PS is rotating the figure (90) in Lyx going to kill the HTML? - that would
make single Lyx -> .ps and .html difficult too.
