Hello,

lyx-1.2.0 exports in latex without graphics files suffix,
but compiles in line with it, so that export to latex and external compilation
fails when there are dots in filenames.

tex2pdf has less to do for dotless files as lyx and tex2pdf use both the same trick to
ease the management of graphics file, but this dot problem begins
to get more and more boring as the suffixless file naming spreads around.

Lyx manages this cleanly (and replaces dots by underscores when needed),
but it's stringent to keep the same behaviour inline and in latex batch
processing (lyx batch processing is OK there).

Did I miss a preference in latex export (e.g. export graphics files with full name) ?
(I mean apart from changing the preferences to no temporary) ?
Do I have an obsolete graphics package ?

In the same line, shouldn't the conversion of non-eps files be activated in the
document dir
when exporting to latex (with a time stamp, like does tex2pdf for the other
way round) ? The time stamp is needed in the temporary anyway to avoid reconverting
at each view or export call.

I had not much time to go through the fine books, sorry if this
is explained in the doc.
