I was getting a lot of troubles installing and running Lyx in my Slackware 8.1. So, what I did? I got a old linux cd rom with KDE1 and Klyx. I got klyx and all necessary packages and I have installed them in my Slackare 8.1 machine. Now, I have KDE3 plus klyx 0.99. I know klyx It is a old version of Lyx ported to KDE1, but I can use lyx now anyway. I am very sorry, but xforms is horrible and does not work(at least here).
If there are some people interested, I can give more details about the KDE1 klyx instalation over KDE3.
