I tried compiled lyx 1.2.1 from source now, installed xforms version 0.89-1 (from lyx contrib dir on ftp site), removed the .lyx directory and rerun configure, but the figures are still not viewed correctly from within Lyx and Lyx is still using convert for converting eps files to view inside lyx.
When I insert one of the pictures in a new lyx file, the same 'errors' occure. Still the dvi output is OK. When I view the eps in gv, it displayes correctly and it shows only the image within the bounding box. Has anyone a clue what is going wrong?
