I wrote quite a lot of little reports or articles recently, and as I'm writing my thesis now, I'm copy-pasting from all of them... I don't want to open them all at lyx startup (so command-line is not an option) and since they are in different directories, it makes a lot of browsing through the file-open dialog. I increased the lastfiles number to 9 and would not be against an increase in the max possible number... Best regards, Matthieu
