Yes. > Does bibtex report errors ? No, I took a look at the .blg file. If I change the text and run it again, the results are fine. I tried some other bibtex styles and the problem doesn't appear with the citations. The problem seems limited, as far as I can tell, to the citations when using apacite. For example, IEEEtr seems to work fine. Simply forcing Lyx to do another Latex pass seems to solve the problem, i.e. by modifying the text. And running the sequence latex, bibtex, latex, and latex from the shell also seems to work. Peter
