I have been tracking this thread for a solution, but my problem is not
solved yet.

eps files which previously had been displayed in lyx now are not. Even the
mobious in the users guide. I have been generating them from various
programs (Corel Draw, Origin, etc.) and now they do not display on 1.2.
Edit->reconfigure didn't work, and my file names do not contain double dots.

Can anyone tell me about this internal xforms viewer and what it can display
(are these eps files I have been generating not "proper" or lacking
something in any way?, maybe I can generate them better...)

Another thing, I have noticed that in 1.2 the lyx can display bmp, gif, jpg
etc. on screen, but it cannot put them in the dvi or ps and complains about
lacking a converter. Can anyone tell me of command line converters to these
formats and what exactly needs to be done to encorporate them into the final
output?

Thanks.
