The urw-fonts package installs a wrong description of fonts (this is
fixed for future mandrake releases, AFAIK). To fix it, edit the /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1/fonts.dir
file, so that the line which reads
s050000l.pfb -URW-Symbol-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-urw-fontspecific
is changed to (only "urw" is changed to "adobe")
s050000l.pfb -URW-Symbol-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-adobe-fontspecific
Then restart the X server (or reboot if you do not know how to do
that) and things should work again.

Hi,I have the same problem with (english version) on redhat 7.2 & 7.3. I
In (Mandrake 9 (Language=Hungarian) + KDE3 + Lyx 1.2.1) math panel
does not show some of the menu titles. It looks like this:

Clicking the empty buttons, they work properly, on the other hand.
Could you tell me, please, what can I do?

think it's been reported as a bug. I remember reading that it's a
font server/install problem associated with some rpm-based distros.
Search bugzilla for more info.
