Yes, I have a similar problem - though, this must be a FAQ, so I haven't given up trying to find the answer myself yet. (-: A "minimum font size everywhere" option would do, as it's often how the requirement is stated in formats you're trying to fit. Still, I want to mention that it would be really nice if LyX had dialogs that let me set the fonts of all the different bits of my document (titles, footnotes, etc.), although maybe what I'm really asking for is a layout creation tool which is presumably a much harder proposition. Maybe if I hunt through /usr/share/lyx/layouts/ more carefully it'll become clearer what I can do by hand! Are the footnotes generated by a separate program (bibtex), then, and not controlled in /usr/share/lyx/layouts/ ? -- Mark
