Regards > Goffredo FWIW I installed Claus Hentschel's port of 1.3.0 on Win 98 with no trouble. I'm groping in the dark here, but two things come to mind: 1. Have you updated your Cygwin installation to the latest (including updating XFree86, if that's what you're using for an X server)? I had to update XFree86 on my machines to get things to work right. If you're using an outdated X server, it could conceivably possibly maybe account for problems seeing the menu bar. 2. If your environment list is a few bricks short of a load, check your LaTeX configuration (help menu, assuming you can find the help menu) and see if it's got everything.
