Sorry, for the moment (I hope I can keep it ;-) ) I am running my own LinuxFromScratch compilation. Before, it was Mandrake 8.1. It gave absolutely the same probs. And yes, /usr/X11R6/lib is in the ld.so.conf Kind regards, Jan
