missing display equations in HTML

Hello,

I am trying to convert my Lyx document to HTML.  To ensure compatibility 
with previous LaTex documents I converted using latex2html, I tried 
exporting my Lyx document to LaTeX, then running latex2html.  All display 
equations and many of the in-line math symbols were missing in the 
resulting HTML files.  Can anyone tell me why?  No errors were reported in 
the export to LaTeX.
