The Euro is now a currency in severl countries, and more will join in the
future. I think it is high time the Euro Symbol was easier to use wwith lyx.
Consider this: I use lyx with several computers, and i share my files with
several people: some have the Euro TeX package installed. Moreover, most
files are split into several files, making the use of preamble impossible
when working with separate files.
My solution at the time this:
\ifx \euro \undefined Euro \else \euro{}\fi
but this is hardly easy, let alone WYSIWIM.
What I?d love is to simply press [Alt Gr]-E and see the mighty Euro sign, and
it should translte to the correct Euro sign if the package is installed, or a
simple E if not. I don't think that takes too much effort... or does it?
