Why is that? That is only for Ronalds binary distribution, right?
- it seems that I cannot get reconfigure to work, but since I cannot see the console output, I do not know what is wrong. Do you know how it is possible to get this output? Running configure by hand from the .lyx directory works, however.
Look in /Applications/Utilities/ and start Console.App. It will show all error
messages! Furthermore, note what Ronald emailed me not too long ago:
"I've added directions for using LyX (Aqua) from the command line -- for debugging or batch processing -- to the LyX on Aqua howto."
so you can start it with lyx -dbg key,action or something similar!
- with french local, qt dirty tricks to move menus fail miserably, since we translate menus before qt sees them. I do not know what we can do about it (to see how stupid qt is: I cannot write a qt program in french and assume that it will work on the mac).
Isolate the problem in QT and mail Trolltech! They are VERY nice and will help --- but
you have to tell them very, very precisely WHERE the problem is.
By now, they already collected six bugs from me which are going to disappear
in the next version. I could only report symptoms and code samples --- they managed
the rest!
